About Dr. Lawrence Vidaver, M.D.

Dr. Vidaver studied medicine at the third oldest medical school in the world, at the University of Padua, Italy.  Since its founding eight centuries ago, this school continues to stress respect for the patient as an individual and providing medical care of the whole person.

Dr. Vidaver has also undertaken special studies including training at the University of Toronto, Canada in both the Department of Dermatology and the unique Clinical Investigation Unit (Endocrinology).

He completed his Internship and Residency Specialty Training in Internal Medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, 

Dr. Vidaver opened his private medical practice in Glen Burnie in 1982, and patients have their regular medical care at his private office in a friendly, comfortable atmosphere.

Primary Care is the area of medicine that addresses acute illnesses, and also provides ongoing care for more chronic conditions.  This includes the centralized coordination of care when patients have several specialist physicians.

Internal Medicine addresses the diagnosis and treatment of long-term conditions including heart disease, gastrointestinal disease, respiratory problems, the autoimmune illnesses, cholesterol problems, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity.
